The Department of Clothing announced the virtual fashion show Digital Runway: 2024 Virtual Fashion Showcase with 32 works produced by 19 graduate students and 13 undergraduate students who took <3D Fashion Design> and <Virtual Fashion Project> (Adjunct Professor Seo Yu-ra and Professor Seo Seung-hee).
This virtual fashion show is an innovative approach using digital technology, a new format that goes beyond the limits of traditional fashion shows.
In the same way as the actual costume production process, the students implemented pattern production and design using the 3D CLO program, and based on this, they expressed it realistically through Unreal Engine.
In particular, it emphasized sustainability and efficiency through virtual fashion shows, and explored the possibility of showcasing creative designs without the consumption of physical resources.
The project focused on improving students' ability to use digital programs and equipping them with the technical competencies required by the future fashion industry.
The Department of Clothing plans to lead the future of the fashion industry through various projects and research as a leader in digital fashion, including this virtual fashion show.
