Training Super Game Designers and Global Game Experts in the AI Era
A Super Game Designer is a versatile talent who utilizes artificial intelligence technology to expand basic skills in game art, game engineering, and market sensing, which are difficult for a single game designer to master. This enables them to handle the initial game design process alone or with a small team.
Through education in game research, design, and development that meets the demands of the advanced global AI era, we cultivate integrated talents with both practical and research capabilities.
Department in Detail
The Game Design Department was established in 2023 with the goal of cultivating game experts who excel in the evolving AI era. To achieve this, the department offers a curriculum and faculty with extensive experience in the game industry and research, aiming to nurture global talent.
Our core vision is to establish an educational and research framework that cultivates Super Game Designers who combine humanities and arts-based game design methodologies with AI capabilities to achieve higher levels of creativity. These experts will not only advance the industry but also contribute to enhancing the value of human life.
We anticipate that graduates will pursue diverse career paths within the global game industry, including roles such as game designers (planning), game project managers, game artists, and programmers.
Furthermore, as recent society is interested in the issue of ‘convergence’, it is important for students to understand and follow the current flow of the masses. To do that, courses have been prepared including principles of convergence applied to variety of fields in film, tv, and multimedia. Students are required to choose all courses to enhance their knowledge about the newest developments in the industry and to produce innovative content.
Why choose us?
Since its inception, the department has engaged in exchanges with international universities such as NYU and has garnered attention from the game and content industries, consistently signing MOUs with companies.
Currently, the department is running global programs, including student joint projects, faculty collaborative research, and exchange lectures, with officially partnered overseas universities. These initiatives are designed to develop students into global game industry professionals.
