The College of Social Sciences held the 3rd Suseon Forum on September 8th, 2021.
15 professors and Dean Bi-Hwan KIM of the College gathered online at the forum. Prof. Seong Lim LEE from the Department of Consumer Science, brought an interesting topic of 'Intra-household Gender Earning Gap and Food Expenditure' and had a presentation and discussion with the participating scholars.
To promote communication and exchange among faculty members, the College had held the two forums in the first semester of 2021 academic year and will be scheduled to hold a monthly-based academic forum continuously under the theme of 'Community and Social Science', till the first semester of 2022.
Consequently, we anticipate that these forums will help revitalize a sustainable academic community in the College and professors find out research topics to engage jointly.
For your reference, we put a bit of the past two forums held in the first semester as follows,
*1st Suseon Forum: held on May 12 and Prof. Hoon Seok CHOI (Dept. of Psychology) presented on 'A New Model of Individualism-Collectivism that Suggests Us What to Do within and between Groups'
*2nd Suseon Forum: on June 10th and Prof. Sou Hyun JANG (Dept. of Sociology) presented on 'Community-based Participatory Research to Promote Health among Immigrants and Racial/Ethnic Minorities"
