This course covers principles and practice of multivariate data analysis in psychology and related fields. Applications of multiple regression, logistic regression, principal component analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis and other multivariate techniques for psychological research will be illustrated. In addition, supervised learning and unsupervised learning will be discussed in relation to the multivariate techniques. This course is designed for graduate students or 3rd- or 4th-year undergraduate students in psychology.

This course reviews major theories and empirical research in the psychological study of communal living. Students will learn how knowledge gained in social and community psychology can be integrated into the long-lasting philosophical debates on the nature of the relationship between the individual and the community. From this, students will have opportunities to develop insights into how to resolve important social issues directly relevant to the co-flourishing of individuals and the community, such as political behavior, social stratification, intergroup conflict and discrimination.

Specifically, students will learn how to develop multi-source feedback, behavioral event interview, Assessment Center, Development Center, and how those methods are applied in the actual organizational settings.

This course will be delivered through lecture and student discussion.
