Dr. Lee Hayeon from the Department of Psychology (under the guidance of Professor Choi Hoonseok) has been appointed as an Assistant Professor at the College of Business at Gyeongsang National University.
Dr. Lee Hayeon from the Department of Psychology has been appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, Gyeongsang National University, starting from September 2023. Dr. Lee received her undergraduate degree from our university's Department of Psychology and completed her master's degree in Social Psychology at the graduate school. For her doctoral degree, she focused on the topic of "Value Orientation of Group Members in Group Creativity and the Independent Self-Enhancement Effect" under the guidance of Professor Choi Hoonseok.
Before joining Gyeongsang National University, Dr. Lee worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Pyongyang University of North Korea and the BK21 project team at Sungkyunkwan University, where she conducted influential research in the fields of group psychology and intergroup relations. Her research paper on reconciliation and integration between North and South Korea earned her the 2022 Korean Society of Personality and Social Psychology's Best Paper Award. Additionally, she has been actively engaged in international conferences, serving as an organizing committee member for the 2021 Asian Association of Social Psychology Conference in Seoul and the 2023 Conference in Hong Kong.
Moving forward, Dr. Lee is determined to continue her academic activities in areas such as enhancing group functionality, promoting harmony and resolving conflicts between groups, and exploring community psychology. She aspires to contribute to the advancement of academic research and the resolution of societal issues in South Korea.
