Dr. Oh Jungmin from the Department of Public Administration has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Arkansas.
Dr. Oh Jungmin from the Department of Public Administration has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Political Science at Arkansas State University in August 2023.
Dr. Oh graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Sungkyunkwan University and was commissioned as a commissioned officer in the ROTC Army after completing his undergraduate degree. After completing military service, he earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Sungkyunkwan University, followed by a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida State University, and subsequently, in August 2023, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Political Science at Arkansas State University.
In 2022, Dr. Oh received the 3rd place in the SKPA Student Paper Award, organized by the Sections on Korean Public Administration within the American Society for Public Administration. His current research focuses on policy analysis and design, behavioral economics, strategic management, and big data, particularly in the context of analyzing Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) in the United States. His work includes research on the impact of artificial intelligence chatbots and administrative burden on supporting low-income families. His research has been published in the Social Science Quarterly, an SSCI academic journal.
