College of Social Sciences Successfully Completes the 17th Inaugural Forum
On September 14th, the College of Social Sciences held the 17th Inaugural Forum at the Social Science Research Institute Conference Room on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.
During the forum, Professor Hee Jung Jeon from the Department of Public Administration delivered a presentation on the topic of "Immigrants and Local Communities." The event was attended by several faculty members and researchers from the College of Social Sciences, including Dean Keunse Lee, and they engaged in diverse discussions based on cases related to domestic immigrants and local communities.
Since the first semester of the 2021 academic year, the Social Science Research Institute (Director: Professor Hoonseok Choi from the Department of Psychology) has been organizing monthly forums under the theme of "Community and Social Sciences." These forums aim to share the outstanding academic achievements of faculty members in the College of Social Sciences, as well as collectively explore solutions to major social issues in Korea.
Following the previous semester, in the upcoming second semester of the 2023 academic year, the forum will continue to focus on scholarly presentations by mid-career and new faculty members in the College of Social Sciences. The goal is to enhance communication and collaboration among the college's constituents, foster the foundation for the development of a sustainable academic community, and explore common research themes.
