This course explores the scientific discipline of occupational health psychology in an advanced level. Students will study various topics of occupational health including role stressors, job demands, work-family balance/conflict, emotional labor, harassment, job burnout, work engagement, and safety as well as different theories relevant to each topic.

This class investigates the general linear model as applied to regression and the analysis of variance, particularly focusing on correlation and regression analyses. Students will study the statistical principles underlying the methods, analyze practical data, interpret the results, and write result sections for scientific articles. This course will be delivered through lecture, discussion, class demonstrations, and students’ exercises.

This course covers various theories and methods about organizational change and innovation to improve organizational efficiency and competency required to cope with environmental changes. This includes interventions for improving well-being of individuals as organizational members. Students can learn how industrial and organizational psychology is applied to a real field because organizational development is a systematic planned change process.

This course deals with the development and validation of predictive tools for recruiting and selecting human resources or training selected personnel required by the organization to increase organizational effectiveness. Students will develop materials that best predict criteria and learn the procedure for validating the selection process, after setting criteria representing organizational effectiveness.

This course covers theories and methods for objective and fair evaluation of work performance as individual function. This class particularly focuses on performance appraisal that help individuals grow that benefits both organizations and their members. After learning theories and methods, students will practice designing performance appraisal programs and/or rater training programs.
PSY5187 Forum to Promote Person-Environment Fit 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This course aims to promote fit between individuals and environments within an organization by applying the principles and theories of both basic psychology and applied psychology. This is an integrated forum to learn theories and research methods related to person-environment fit and to seek multifaceted organizational behavior management strategies to promote corporate competitiveness.

This course covers fundamentals of latent variable modeling, path analysis, and structural equation modeling, combining theoretical and practical perspectives. The course is designed to provide details of structural equation modeling, from the statistical underpinnings to how to conduct various types of structural equation analyses.

This course covers principles and practice of the multilevel modeling. The multilevel modeling statistically summarizes either characteristics of groups within which many individulas are nested in a hierarchical data structure or characteristics of individulas within which many repeated observations are nested in a longitudinal data structure. The course covers both the multilevel linear model, an extension of the general linear model, and the multilevel genearalized linear model, an extension of the generalized linear model.

This course reviews major theories of social psychology. Students will also engage in critical analyses of the recent empirical works in each of the three units of analysis: Intraindividual processes, interpersonal processes, intragroup and intergroup processes.

This coure reviews psychological processes that emerge in team interaction in various subject areas, including team cognition, motivation, emotion, performance, decision-making and creativity. Students will perform critical analyses on recent empirical findings in each of the majorn research areas in team dynamics.

This course reviews muti-level research methods in group research at three levels of analysis: Individual, group, and organization. Students will learn major theories and research methods in group psychology and perform individual projects applying multi-level data analysis and research paradigms.
PSY5193 Psychology of Intergroup Conflict and Rconciliation 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This course reviews major theories of social psychology on intergroup relations and behavior. Students will also learn recent empirical findings on intergroup conflict, stereotypes, intergroup discrimination, and multiculturalism. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and think critically about how to create psychological and social conditions to promote intergroup harmony and collective flourishing.
PSY5194 Psychology of Reunification: Practicum 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This practicum course specifies the psychological and the societal conditions for the peaceful unification of the two Koreas. To this end, students will discuss major theories and research in social psychology, political psychology, and community psychology and identify solutions to important real-world issues by participating in experiential learning in collaboration with a field agency.
PSY5195 Practicum on Natural Groups 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 Korean Yes
This practicum course reviews theoretical frameworks and empirical research on natural groups. Students will learn related concepts and theories to analyze human dynamics in various real-world social groups along with qualitative research methods. They will also have opportunities to apply the knowledge in the form of a semester-long team project.
PSY5196 Practicum on Social Innovation 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This is a practicum course designed to help students understand the psychological and social processes that underlie social innovation. The course will be administered in collaboration with field agencies and institutions. Students will engage in critical analyses on the representative cases of social innovation in Korea and learn how to design and implement high-impact change programs through a semester-loing team project.
