PSY5132 Regression and Factor Analysis 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This course is divided into two parts: regression analysis, factor analysis. In the first part, regression method of identifying optimal combination of predictors are covered. In the second part, estimation of factor structure latent in the data of measured variables are covered. Students are required to understand the statistical theories underlying the methods, analyze practical data, and interpret the results finally.
PSY5133 Multilevel Modeling Theory 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This course is an high-level application of regression analysis. This course is recommended to those who took regression analysis in behavioral sciences. In this course, students are required to understand the theory and analyze multi-level data. Also they are trained to be able to critiqur articles having applications of this multivariate method.
PSY5134 Theory and Practice of Item Response Theory 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This course is an advanced course for students who already took course of scale construction or classical test theory. Students are trained to understand Rasch model, two parameter, and three parameter logistic models. They are trained to be able to analyze the quality of items/tests and critique other's work on test construction.
PSY5135 Theory and Practice of Differential Item Functioning 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
Differential Item Function(DIF) is a topic that is very useful for resolving practical matters in education, psychology, and the society in general. Students will learn the theory of DIF and how discrimination against certain groups can be formulated and investigated in the frame of DIF. Students will be trained to be a practitioner as well as a scientist in dealing problems related to DIF.
PSY5136 Structural Equation Modeling and Related Methods 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
This course is an introduction to structural equation modeling(SEM) which is quite broad and deep as a multivariate method. Students are required to understand the basic theory of SEM and to analyze multivariate data with hypotheses of linear structural relations. Also they are trained to be able to understand published articles demonstrating use of SEM as the major analytic method.
PSY5137 Theory of Psychological Research 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
A systematic approach of proceeding psychological research is taught. Some of the topics include selection of study topics, hypotheses development, data collection, quantitative approach, qualitative approach, validity of study, and etc.
